Recognise STs: protesters

PONDICHERRY, DEC. 8. Volunteers of the Pondicherry-based Federation of Union Territory Reserved Employees Associations (FUTURE) who took out a procession near the Assembly demanding recognition to Scheduled Tribes (STs) in Pondicherry were arrested today.

Its president, Radha, said despite a relentless demand that the STs be recognised nothing had been done by the Government.
