`Where is the proof?'
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
DEC. 8.
The Government Chief Whip, N. Kiran Reddy, has said that the Leader of the Opposition, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has failed to substantiate his charge in the Assembly that irregularities have been committed in the irrigation tenders.
Speaking to reporters here today, Mr. Reddy said Mr. Naidu's speech was confined to reading out newspaper reports and quoting the High Court verdict rather than producing proof that irregularities had taken place. The Congress was prepared to take on the Opposition tomorrow when the discussion would resume. The BJP member, G. Kishan Reddy, said that the debate on irregularities should not overshadow the discussion.
