Sub-Registrar's

house burgled

Thieves broke into the house of the Rajendranagar Sub-Registrar, M.A. Ahmed, at Jainagar under the Saifabad police station limits and stole gold ornaments weighing 45 tolas on Tuesday. The culprits gained entry by breaking open the door with a boulder, the Saifabad Inspector, Sridhar, said.

MBA student

ends life

An MBA student, Arprit Jaiswal (23), committed suicide by hanging in his hostel room in Chikkadpally on Tuesday night. A native of Uttar Pradesh, Arprit was a student of Magnum Institute, the Chikkadpally police said. Reasons for his suicide are not known.

Chain snatched

Two scooter-borne youngsters snatched away a three-tola gold chain from a housewife, A. Shobha, while she was walking near Gitanjali School in Begumpet on Tuesday evening. Shobha was on her way to a relative's place at Annanagar in Rasoolpura along with her husband, Satyanarayana, and children when the snatchers struck.

Worker robbed

Two persons on a motorcycle snatched the bracelet of a hotel worker, Narsing Rao, while he was returning home on a scooter, near Ambedkar statue, at Tank Bund after Tuesday midnight, the Saifabad police said.

Woman electrocuted

A woman, K. Lalitha (35), was electrocuted on Tuesday when she touched the electric motor used for pumping water at her residence in Indiranagar, Khairatabad. She died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
