BANGALORE, DEC. 8. Six persons were killed and another was injured in four accidents in the city since Tuesday. The police said two former NGEF employees, Ashwathnarayana (50) and Boregowda (48), were killed when a lorry hit their motorcycle on Old Madras Road at 8.45 a.m. on Wednesday. The police said the two were residents of NGEF Layout. They had taken voluntary retirement from the factory and were working for a private firm in Chickpet. They were on their way to work when the accident occurred. In another accident, Ravi (25) of T. Narasipura in Mysore district, who was riding a motorcycle, and Lingaraju, who was riding pillion, were killed when a lorry hit their vehicle at T. Dasarahalli at 10 p.m. on Tuesday. While Ravi was killed on the spot, Lingaraju died at a hospital, the police said. A student of Garden City College in Indiranagar was killed and another student was injured when a tipper lorry hit their motorcycle near the Indiranagar Police Station at 1.30 a.m. on Wednesday. The police said Toni (18), who was riding the motorcycle, was killed on the spot while Kunni, his pillion rider, was injured. He has been admitted to hospital. The driver of the lorry, Gopal Sarkar, has been arrested. Harish (24) of Whitefield was killed when a lorry hit his motorcycle at Adugodi around 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Adugodi Police have registered a case.
