Letters to the Editor
Sir, The statement of the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Kalyan Singh, that the demolition of the Babri Masjid was "an act of god" is a dangerous assertion, reminiscent of Osama bin Laden's expression of joy after the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York. What a similarity in the mindset of communalists!
T.S. Rao,
* * * Sir, December 6 is not a day to be remembered but to be well forgotten. Remembering it every year in the form of security alerts and subsequent media publicity only kindles unhappy memories.
S.T.C. Sudhakar,
