Human Rights Day

Sir, — Though the Constitution guarantees fundamental rights to all citizens, a lot needs to be done to provide the conditions for implementing the rights. Farmers are killing themselves because of debt. Unemployed youth are on the verge of starvation. Women and children are victims of domestic violence and physical exploitation. The poor have been reduced to vote banks. The process of social change needs to be accelerated.
