Kancheepuram triumphs
TIRUNELVELI,
DEC. 9.
Kancheepuram lifted the ICL Mahaveerchand memorial Trophy defeating Tiruvallur by 79 runs in the final of the inter-district under-13 cricket tournament conducted by Tirunelveli District Cricket Association at ICRC ground, Sankarnagar here on Thursday.
The scores: Kancheepuram 126 for seven in 40 overs (Adithya 44 not out) bt Tiruvallur 47 in 32.5 overs. Man of the final: Aditya.
Special Awards: Best batasman: S.R. Mithun (Tiruchi); Bowler: V. Aditya (Kancheepuram); All rounder: S. Aravindan (Thanjavur); Promising Youngster: Abrar Issa (Madurai).
