Mukesh for settlement with brother?
NEW DELHI,
DEC. 9.
In yet another twist to the battle of the Ambanis, Mukesh was today reported to be willing to discuss the separation of the business empire but sources close to his younger brother Anil ruled out a compromise over the flagship company, Reliance Industries Limited.
Industry sources said Mukesh was willing to discuss the management and ownership control of Reliance companies other than RIL as part of efforts to reach a settlement with Anil. However, no official confirmation on the move was available from the Mukesh camp.
A source close to Anil told PTI that ``Anil Ambani has left all matters to his mother Kokilaben.''
Anil had ``pledged to his late father Dhirubhai Ambani that he would not leave RIL.''
The sources said the younger Ambani had left the division, separation or restructuring of RIL or other assets to his mother. The brothers are locked in a battle for controlling the Rs. 90,000 crore business empire. — PTI
