NEW DELHI, DEC. 10. Tata Consultancy Services along with Bharti Televentures and National Thermal Power Corporation was today adjudged among the best employers in India by leading global human resources management firm Hewitt Associates. Other companies, which figured in Hewitt's list of 25 best employers, are: Procter & Gamble, Glaxo SmithKline, Tata Motors, Satyam Computer, Intel, IOC, Johnson & Johnson, Dr. Reddy's, GAIL, ST Microelectronics, Philips, Mindtree, Eureka Forbes, Agilent Technologies, Tata Steel, Biocon, HPCL, EI DuPont, Oracle, Birla Sun Life, Wipro Spectramind and Gillette. Bharti Chief Executive Officer, Sunil Mittal, was chosen the most popular or `Best People's CEO' among its employees. Procter & Gamble received the most admired HR department's award at a function here. The five best-managed workforce were in Godrej Consumer Products, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative, Parry Confectionery, The Leela Palace Kempinski and Jubilant Organosys, according to Hewitt. "The best employers inspire and maintain a passion for outstanding achievement. They not only pose sharp focus and clarity but also share it simply and effectively with the employees besides looking for building sustainability of customer relationships," Hewitt Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, Mick Bennett, told PTI here. Eight of the 25 best employers were in the IT sector, while four were in the FMCG and the rest from energy, telecom, manufacturing and other sectors.
