HYDERABAD, DEC. 10. The public meeting of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) -- Telangana Praja Garjana -- will be held at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds on Saturday afternoon. TRS leaders are involved in serious efforts to mobilise a huge crowd for the meeting, considered a move to mount pressure on the Congress to expedite the process of forming Telangana State. Party MLAs were busy contacting lorry owners to deploy 150 to 200 vehicles to transport people from their respective constituencies. The venue is being decked up for the occasion. A huge dais has been put up and barricading taken up in the sprawling ground. TRS flags have been put up all over the venue.
New premises
Barring leaders of the DMK, the PMK and the MDMK, who will arrive from Chennai early in the morning, representatives of other parties supporting the cause of the TRS will reach here at 11 a.m. from New Delhi. All of them would attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new premises of the TRS at Banjara Hills at noon. The TRS president, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, will host a lunch for them at his house. Mr. Rao will lead them to the venue in a convoy of vehicles from a star hotel. Among those who have confirmed their participation are the PMK president, K. Ramadoss, the JMM president, Shibu Soren, the RJD leader in the Rajya Sabha, Ramdev Bhandari, the Forward Bloc general secretary, Debabrata Biswas, the PDF president, Mahbooba Mufti, the RPI president, Ramdas Athavle, the RLD president, Ajit Singh, the MDMK MP, Krishnan, and the MIM MP, Asaduddin Owaisi. Representatives of the Lok Janashakti, the DMK and the Nationalist Congress Party will also attend. Congress leaders from Telangana, including the Pradesh Congress Committee chief, K. Keshava Rao, G. Venkataswamy and D. Vittal Rao, both MPs, and G. Chinna Reddy, MLA, have also been invited to attend.
