Mathematicians urged to tackle research issues

By Our Staff Reporter

WARANGAL, DEC. 10. The National Institute of Technology (NIT) director, D K Tripathy, asked mathematicians to address research problems in pure as well as applied mathematics. Pure research can also lead to unforeseen applications, as in the case of Boolean algebra, divergent series and many other pure topics.

Mr. Tripathy, inaugurating the three-day conference of the Andhra Pradesh Society for Mathematical Science (APSMS) here on Friday, suggested that in view of the popularity and large number of papers to be read in the Congress, the APSMS can arrange poster sessions for paper presentation.
