CBI opposes Chandraswami's plea to go abroad
By Our Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI,
DEC. 10.
The Central Bureau of Investigation today opposed the self-styled godman Chandraswami's application seeking permission to go abroad. The CBI filed its counter through B.K. Mishra, the Chief Investigating Officer of the Multi-Disciplinary Monitoring Agency (MDMA), set up in December 1998 to further probe the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
Chandraswami has sought permission to visit the United States, the United Kingdom and Mauritius for two months to deliver lectures on astrology. The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Ravinder Dudeja, will take up the matter for consideration on Monday.
