NALGONDA, DEC. 10. Yerukalas under the aegis of `Yerukala Hakkula Porata Samithi' held an impressive rally here on Friday seeking a fair deal for the community. The rally that started at the railway station reached the NG College grounds where a public meeting held. Speakers at the rally wanted the Government to launch a special agency on the lines of Integrated Tribal Development Authorities (ITDAs) that were taking care of tribals in the State. Addressing the gathering, the State president of the Samithi, Prabhakara Yerukala, asked the Government to open special schools for the children of his community, which according to him was being neglected by successive Governments. The meeting adopted a resolution demanding that the Government allocate three acres of land to each Yerukula family.
