Interim relief sought

HYDERABAD,
DEC. 10.
Service organisations of Government staff held discussions with the Finance Minister, K. Rosaiah, in the Secretariat this evening seeking interim relief at 20 per cent, pending pay revision commission recommendations.
The leaders of these organisations later claimed that the Minister had promised to come out with the Government stand on the issue positively in a week. However, the Minister denied having made any such promise. He said he had stated to them that he would discuss the issue with the Chief Minister. No deadline was fixed.
