Dry weather in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI DEC. 11. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over Kerala, fell at one or two places over rest Kerala, rose appreciably at one or two places over Telangana, south interior Karnataka, rose at a few places over Rayalaseema and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over Kerala, below normal at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over Telangana, north interior Karnataka, rest Kerala, appreciably above normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Ramagundam, Medak and Belgaum Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until the morning of 13th December 2004): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Forecast for Chennai City and Neighbourhood (valid until Monday morning): Partly cloudy. Possibility of light rain in some areas.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Forecast valid until the Morning of 13th December 2004): Isolated light rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Mainly sunny weather will prevail over interior Tamil Nadu.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
