MUMBAI, DEC. 11. The Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Energy, Anil Ambani, who is in the midst of a tussle over the ownership of Reliance Industries with his elder brother Mukesh, has been adjudged as the `CEO of the year' at the Platts Global Energy Awards for 2004. Mr. Anil Ambani received the nod of the high profile jury in recognition of "his courage, dedication, ethics, and the ability to bring about a real change for the better in the company, in the industry as a whole, and in the lives of the employees," a Reliance Energy release said here today. Commenting on the award, Mr. Anil Ambani said it was a "tribute to the vision of my father Dhirubhai Ambani and the collective commitment and dedication of the 25,000 strong family that works at REL."
