Double for Singh

HYDERABAD, DEC. 11. R.I. Singh of Delhi bagged a double in the 9th GVK-AITA veterans' national tennis championship here on Saturday. In the singles final for the above 55 age group R.I. Singh defeated T. Sreedhar of AP 6-0, 6-2 and then in the doubles final R.I. Singh partnering Manmohan Singh beat Varaprasad and Ramakrishna of AP 6-0, 6-2.

The results (all finals):

Singles: 45 plus: Sanjeev Kassal (Del) bt Anand Swaroop (AP) 6-4, 6-2; 55 plus: R.I. Singh (Del) bt T. Sreedhar (AP) 6-0, 6-2; 65 plus: V. Chiranjeevi (AP) bt Keerthi Kumar (TN) 6-1, 6-3.

Doubles: 55 plus: R.I. Singh & Manmohan Singh (Del) bt Varaprasad & Ramakrishna (AP) 6-0, 6-2.
