ALAPPUZHA, DEC. 11. The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind will organise a seminar on Development and Human rights at the Alappuzha Town Hall on December 12 at 3 p.m. The seminar is being organised as a part of the national level human rights campaign being organised by the Jama-at-e-Islami, said the organisers. K. N. Panikkar, historian and human rights worker, will inaugurate the seminar. The Jamaat-e-Islami State vice-president, T. Arif Ali, will preside over the function. The State committee member of the Solidarity movement, T. K. Farroq, will present a paper. Those who will speak include the CPI State assistant secretary, Panniyan Ravindran, A. Achuthan, Ecologist, head of international relations of Mahatma Gandhi University, A. K. Ramakrishnan and C. R. Neelakantan, environmental activist.
