HYDERABAD, DEC. 11. The AP Public Service Commission Chairman, Peravaram Ramulu, on Saturday announced that printing of hall-tickets had been taken up and that all the 28,865 candidates would be despatched by Thursday next. The mains would be held from January 19 to February 9, he said, adding that the results would be out by first week of May and within days, the interviews would be held. Those who do not get their hall tickets by the month-end could download the same from the net in eSeva centres. This year the commission had incorporated an accuracy feature to do away with mistakes in the manual entry process of the postal addresses of candidates. He said the address, in the candidate's own handwriting found on the application form, would be scanned and the image transferred onto the hall-ticket. Dismissing apprehensions in the minds of candidates that they would not have adequate time for preparation, Mr. Ramulu said that care had been taken in chalking out the schedule. For example, provision had been made for an extra day of preparation between two popular optional subjects. He said examinations for 30,000 applicants each, for different gazetted and non-gazetted posts would be held between February 14 and 17 and that by the month-end, examinations for applicants to the posts of Forest Range Officers would be held. By March-end, examinations for the over 5.5 applicants for Group II positions would be completed. Thus, Mr. Ramulu said the exercise of conducting five examinations would be over by May, after which, the process for the succeeding year would be started in June 2005.
