Naidu assigns tasks to party leaders

HYDERABAD, DEC. 11. Coming close on the heels of announcement of a jumbo State executive body, the Telugu Desam president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, has now distributed responsibilities among all 126 new office-bearers.

The party chief has come out with a 10-page manual which spells out the duties and responsibilities of the office-bearers and the collective role to be played by the State executive.

Mr. Naidu has assigned 15 members of the Polit Bureau specific tasks. A five-member Polit Bureau team will look after organisational affairs. Another team takes care of the human resources wing while the third will analyse news reports and interact with the party chief.

The general secretaries, Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, Shoba Nagi Reddy and E. Peddi Reddy, will coordinate party activities in all 23 districts. They were made in charges of different districts. Three other general secretaries have been asked to coordinate affairs in the party headquarters. All official spokespersons have been advised to coordinate with the six subjects committees constituted by the party president.
