NEW DELHI, DEC. 11. The South-West Delhi police have arrested an alleged chain-snatcher. According to the police, Satender Kumar, a resident of Kakrola village, was arrested on Friday when the woman whose chain he had allegedly snatched on December 9 identified him at a police picket on Friday afternoon. During interrogation, Satender, a school dropout, allegedly confessed to having snatched two more chains at different places in South-West Delhi. Further investigations are on.
Body found
The body of a 35-year-old man was found in a gutter at Lodhi Colony in South Delhi on Friday. According to the police, the body, later identified as that of Devinder, an employee of Delhi Jal Board, was found from the gutter behind the CGO Complex yesterday afternoon. The Lodhi Colony police have registered a case of murder and are investigating further.
Man arrested
. A 23-year-old man has been arrested by the North Delhi police for allegedly possessing pornographic video compact discs (VCDs). According to the police, the accused, Satinder Singh, a resident of Usmanpur in North-East Delhi, was arrested while he was selling the VCDs in front of a dispensary near Diwan Hall in North Delhi on Friday. A case has been registered at Kotwali police station and further investigations are on.
