No change in temperature

Gandhi Medical College (GMC), which is organising MEDEX 2004, has asked the school authorities not to bring students without a day's advance booking in view of heavy rush. The exhibition is open till December 16 and non-school visitors have been urged to come after 4 p.m. only.

Seminar on sexual health

The Osmania Medical Doctors Forum will conduct a seminar on sexual health on December 15 and 16 at Osmania Medical College, Koti. Doctors will deliver lectures on a variety of sexual problems.

Workshop

on teaching

The Hyderabad Psychological Association organised a workshop on `Enhancing teacher effectiveness' here on Saturday. The resource persons -- K. Niranjan Reddy and Ch. Vishnupriya -- conducted interactive sessions on `Know your learner better' and `Enhancing parent-teacher relationships' respectively. Participants from various city schools attended.

Visu workshop today

Visu International Limited is organising a free workshop on new SAT at its office in Saifabad on Sunday at 10.30 a.m. The workshop will cover aspects like skills in English, vocabulary practice tests, grammar tips, effective approach to reading comprehension passages, tips for quantitative reasoning and problem solving and sharpening skills in writing essays. Aspire offers scholarship

Aspire Learning company has announced Rs. 30 lakhs worth scholarships for students aspiring to prepare for IIT-JEE and AIEEE. Students of classes nine, 11 and 12 are eligible to take the test to be conducted on December 26.

Public relations conference

The city chapter of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) will host the eighth Andhra Pradesh Public Relations conference here on February 12 and 13. The theme of the conference is `Catalysts of change-advancing PR profession.' January 31 is last date for submitting entries.

Community

hall opened

A community hall constructed at a cost of Rs. 9.07 lakhs was inaugurated at Satyanagar, Barkatpura, on Saturday. The Mayor, T. Krishna Reddy, said the MCH was committed to all-round development of the city.

The Secunderabad MP, Anjan Kumar Yadav, promised more amenities at the community hall. The former Union Minister, Bandaru Dattatreya, the Deputy Mayor, Subhash Chanderji, and the Barkatpura corporator, B. Venkat Reddy, were present.
