OU Registrar warns colleges

HYDERABAD, DEC. 11. The Osmania University Registrar, M. Mutha Reddy, has warned that disciplinary action will be initiated against colleges collecting examination fee more than what was prescribed by the university.

In a statement here, he said that some colleges in Nalgonda and other districts were collecting more fee from students.

Circular

The circular on the fee prescribed for each course was already sent to the colleges and students could check it before paying.

According to the circular, students of all the streams (BA, B.Com and B.Sc) have to pay Rs. 300 for each paper for improvement plus Rs. 30 for the memo. Those appearing for two or less papers have to pay Rs. 180 plus Rs. 30 for the memo. However, students appearing for three or more papers in B.A. stream have to pay Rs. 240 plus Rs. 30 while students of B.Sc have to pay Rs. 280 plus Rs. 30. Students of B.Com in a similar case have to pay Rs. 260 plus Rs. 30.

All the first year students appearing for examinations have to separately pay a one-time "Examination Processing Fee" of Rs. 200. All the final year candidates have to pay Rs. 60 for Provisional Certificate and Rs. 50 for Consolidated memo.
