4 held on charge
of duping banks
The Asifnagar police on Saturday arrested four persons, including a Government school teacher, Rahmatullah, and his wife, Syeda Ayesha Siddiqua, on the charge of duping several banks to the tune of Rs. 23.81 lakhs by submitting fake salary certificates. The other two arrested persons are Syed Naveed and Syed Muneeb.
Cash bag snatched
A housewife, K. Rajarajeshwari, 41, lost Rs. 14,000 in cash when two motorcycle-borne assailants snatched her cash bag while she was walking on the road near the State Bank of India's Yellareddyguda branch on Friday. A bank passbook, driving licence and a credit card were in the bag, the Panjagutta police said. A resident of Kalyaninagar, the victim was returning home after withdrawing the cash from bank.
