CHENNAI, DEC. 12. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over south coastal Tamil Nadu, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at a few places over coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over north coastal Tamil Nadu and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at one or two places over interior Karnataka, south Kerala, below normal at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, north Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka appreciably above normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at a few places over coastal Karnatka, rest north Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Ramagundam and Nizamabad Airport recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 13 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated ran or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, north coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Frost Warning: Ground frost is likely to occur over hill ranges of Nilgiris district during the next two nights.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Slight increase in rainfall.
