PONDICHERRY, DEC. 12. The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has called upon the Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, to allocate wards for the Backward Classes (BCs) and Most Backward Classes (MBCs) before the dates for civic polls is finalised. N. G. Panneerselvam, convener of the party's Pondicherry unit, said while his party welcomed the announcement of the Chief Minister that civic polls would be held without delay, there should be an immediate decision on earmarking of wards for BCs and MBCs.
