Cuddapah
By Our Staff Reporter
CUDDAPAH, DEC. 12. A special Task Force was constituted to settle land disputes arising out of land grabbing, encroachments and steep hike in land price in the aftermath of Cuddapah becoming a Municipal Corporation, the Superintendent of Police, V.C. Sajjanar, said on Sunday. Ina statement, the SP said the task force was constituted under the Cuddapah Rural Circle Inspector, U. Satyanarayana, following complaints of inflating land prices, selling the same land to four or five parties, forcible occupation of others' properties and selling them by demarcating them as house plots.
Brokers warned
The task force would keep an eye on the over 100 land-brokers, who were allegedly duping people by quoting abnormal increase in land prices and initiate stern action against them, he warned. The police, in coordination with revenue officials, would register cases under the Land Protection Act, he said and urged the aggrieved parties to approach the task force.
Resolved
KURNOOL: The Consumer Counselling Centre resolved the long-pending dispute between real estate developers and property buyers here on Sunday. The convener of the centre, D. Narasimhachar, said buyers were aggrieved over half-completed drainage system and other amenities at a residential colony. The builder promised to complete the works after the intervention of the centre. Also, another builder returned the amount to a buyer after a complaint that he was not allotted the flat of his choice.
