Heavy rush continues at Sabarimala
By Our Staff Reporter
PATHANAMTHITTA,
DEC. 12.
Heavy rush of devotees continued for the third consecutive day at Sabarimala Ayyappa temple today. The police had to block the pilgrims at Appachimedu and Marakkootom on the trekking path in order to regulate the flow of pilgrims and ease the human pressure at Sannidhanam in the previous night.
Devotees had to wait not less than eight hours in the long-winding queue on the trekking path for the holy darshan. Meanwhile, the Vilakkinezhunnellathu, following the Athazha pooja, as part of the 10-day annual temple festival began at the Sannidhanam on Saturday evening.
The temple festival will come to a close with the `arattu' ceremony in river Pampa on December 16.
