Mysoora targeting YSR for selfish gain: Congress

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, DEC. 12. The Congress Legislature Party has accused the TDP official spokesperson, M.V. Mysoora Reddy, of resorting to mudslinging against the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, only to enter the Legislative Council.

Dr. Reddy drew flak from CLP members on Sunday for his outburst against the Chief Minister. The Government Whip, S. Udayabhanu, the CLP secretary, Konda Surekha, members -- Vatti Vasant Kumar and Ahmedullah -- in a statement charged Dr. Reddy with trying to gain the sympathy of the party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The Congress MLAs alleged that TDP leaders were hell bent on preventing the Government from taking up irrigation projects.

They were more bothered about the well-being of the contractors close to them than the welfare of farmers, they pointed out. He had no right to criticise the Chief Minister, they said noting that no one could question his commitment on irrigation projects.
