CHENNAI, DEC. 12. An ardent devotee of the Paramacharya, Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswati, M.S. Subbulakshmi ``carried'' the shawl presented to her by him in her final journey too. The body of the legendary Carnatic vocalist, kept for public homage at her residence, was seen draped in a shawl, which was presented to her by the Paramacharya several years ago, according to a family member. During one of her visits to the Kanchi Mutt, the Paramacharya, as a token of blessing, presented her the shawl, which the family members had preserved.
