BIDAR, DEC. 12. The economic condition of minority communities has improved significantly after they became members of cooperative societies, Umakanth Nagamarapalli, president of the district cooperative federation said here today. He was speaking at a training camp for members and office-bearers of cooperative societies from minority communities. He said that around 20 per cent of the members of cooperative societies were from minority communities. He said that minority communities suffered from various social handicaps and needed to improve their economic position. This he said would lead to development in other sectors as well. Quaza Saleemuddin, president of the urban cooperative bank, the vice-president of the District Central Cooperative Bank, Narayanrao Mannalli, and the president of the bank, Manjra Mahila, were present.
