Aditya, Varma share lead
HYDERABAD,
DEC. 12.
Aditya Vikas and M.R.P. Varma, with 4.5 points each, shared the lead at the end of the fifth round in the AP State selection chess tournament organised by APCA (Telangana Division) for boys and girls (under-13 and 7 years) here on Sunday.
The results: Under-13: Aditya Vikas (4.5) bt Mohd Hussain (3.5); M.R.P. Verma (4.5) bt Koundinya (3.5); G. Naveen (3) bt Srinivas Varma (4); Vishnu (4) bt T. Sumanth Kumar (3); Naga Haritha Devi (2) lost to S.L. Padmaja (4); Anushree (3) bt Pratyusha (2); M. Gayatri (2) lost to B. Sanjana (2.5). Under-7: J.V. Sai Kiran (3) lost to Vijay Kanth (4); Amogha Varsha (2) lost to Varun (3); J. Prathima (3) bt E. Roja (2).
