BANGALORE, DEC. 12. Canara Bank posted a 6-0 win over Maratha Light Infantry (MLI) while BPCL cruised through to its second straight win with a 5-3 verdict against HAL in the Deccan Herald super division hockey league at the KSHA stadium here on Sunday. For BPCL, Len Aiyappa struck twice (16th and 55th minutes), while Deepak Sharma (31st), Ravi Nayakar (47th) and Pundalik Bellary (69th) were the other goal getters. Anil Anand (2nd and 27th) and K.P. Roy (58th) helped HAL reduce the margin. For Canara Bank, Kaveriappa capitalised on a penalty stroke. John Varghese then struck twice in five minutes while K.S. Apanna, Ricki Ganapathi and Sunil Benjamin added to the tally.
