NEW DELHI, DEC. 12. Six people, who were allegedly involved in incidents of robbery and theft, have been arrested from near Surajmal Stadium in West Delhi by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police. Acting on a tip-off that some criminals would assemble near Surajmal Stadium, the Crime Branch sleuths laid a trap and arrested six of them. A country-made firearm, a live cartridge, two knives and two daggers were recovered from their possession. The accused were identified as Rajesh, Ajay, Raju, Anil, Rashid Ahmed and Salim. During interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in at least 19 cases of attempt-to-murder robbery and three of theft. They mainly operated in West and North-West Delhi. At their instance, the police recovered five mobile phones, five wristwatches and a stolen scooter.
