M.V. Krishna Rao to join Congress today

SRIKAKULAM,
DEC. 13.
Stage is set for M.V. Krishna Rao, senior leader of the Telugu Desam Party and former MLA from Ichapuram, to join the Congress.
According to his supporters, Mr. Krishna Rao will formally join the party in the presence of the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
"Under the leadership of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy, interests of farmers and weaker sections are being taken care of. That's the reason why I have decided to join the Congress," Mr. Krishna Rao said before leaving for Hyderabad. He had already reached Hyderabad.
Frustration and indifference of the TDP high command towards issues raised by him were said to be reasons for his switching over to the Congress. Mr. Krishna Rao was denied TDP ticket in the Assembly election.
