THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, DEC. 13 . The KPCC has convened a meeting of its executive on December 22 to discuss and finalise the programmes in connection with the party president, Sonia Gandhi's visit to the State in the last of week of the month. Ms. Gandhi is expected to inaugurate the new KPCC building and address a leadership convention. The AICC secretary, Anil Sastri, will arrive here to oversee preparations for Ms. Gandhi's visit. The executive committee would also discuss contemporary political issues, besides reviewing preparations for the organisational elections. One of the major issues that would figure is the resignation of the IUML leader, P.K. Kunhalikutty, from the Chandy Cabinet. The KPCC executive meeting in a way precludes the Congress Legislature Party meeting slated for the same day. The meeting would be attended by the KPCC office-bearers, Ministers, MLAs and office-bearers of feeder organisations.
