SBC, Nirmala in quarterfinals

THIRUVALLA, DEC. 13. St. Berchmans College (Changanassery) defeated Baselius (Kottayam) 2-1 to enter the quarterfinals of the 43rd Mar Thoma Trophy all-Kerala collegiate football tournament at the Mar Thoma College Ground here on Monday.

Sanoj (31st) and Arun (42nd) scored for SB while Baselius' Renju (56th) reduced the margin.

In another pre-quarterfinal, Nirmala (Muvattupuzha) pipped SN (Kollam) 4-3 via the tie-breaker. The teams were goalless at the end of the regulation period.
