Sydney Lewis is champion

BANGALORE, DEC. 13. Sydney Lewis of Fidelity claimed the individual honours while iGate bagged the team title in the Corporate chess tournament at the State Youth Centre here.

The results: Team event: 1. iGate 10.5 pts (PS: 26.5) , 2. Infosys 10.5 pts (PS: 26). Board prizes: Top board: Vaidyanathan (Sonata -3.5 pts). Second board: Krishnakant (Infosys- 4 pts). Third board: Benny Joseph (Thomson- 3.5 pts). Fourth board: Kamran (Texas Instruments)/Prashanth (Healthscribe)/Avinash (Akzo Nobel) with 3 pts each.

Open individual event: 1. Sydney Lewis (Fidelity- 6.5 pts), 2. Shrikant (iGate- 5.5 pts), 3. Abhishek (Infosys- 5 pts (PS 22), 4. Ravinandan (Infosys- 5 pts (PS 21.5). Special prize: Salim (Healthscribe- 5 pts (PS 20).
