CHENNAI, DEC. 13. The Defence Standardisation Cell, Avadi, has released comprehensive Defence Equipment Catalogues on the T72 and ARV tanks. The catalogues will be a big help to armoured formations, regiments and maintenance workshops. Air Commodore Tarun Sovakar, Director, Directorate of Standardisation in New Delhi, released the catalogues and the first copy was released by Brigadier S. Arun, Controller of Quality Assurance (Heavy Vehicles), Avadi. The cell was established in 1986 and is entrusted with codification of components, assembly and sub-assembly of all tracked vehicles, such as T72, ARV, T90 and MBT Arjun.
