KOCHI, DEC. 13. K.V. Thomas, MLA, has said that several political leaders were neglecting social and development issues while adopting vote bank politics. He was inaugurating the Robert Bristow memorial meeting, organised under the auspices of International Forum for Cultural Heritage and Tradition (IFCHAT), in Fort Kochi on Monday. Presiding over the function, Austin Paul, IFCHAT president and former Secretary of Cochin Dock Labour Board, urged the Cochin Port Trust authorities and the Union Government to install a statue of Robert Bristow at the entrance of the port. N.P. Ouseph, former president of Indian Chamber of Commerce, and C.P. Xavier, president of Cochin Customs Agents Association, were among those who spoke.
