Money dispute leads to youth's murder

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, DEC. 13. A youngster, Md. Asif, who picked a quarrel with his friend allegedly for not paying him the money promised for taking part in the Assembly election campaign, was killed when the latter inflicted knife injuries on him at Golconda on Monday. Asif's two friends and a police constable sustained injuries in the clash.

A resident of Chotabazar, Asif, 22, and his friends Afsar Khan and Habeeb went to the house of Md. Ghouse around 2.30 a.m. Asif reportedly began shouting for Ghouse to come out. The house owner, Md. Pasha -- a constable of Sanathnagar police station -- came out and tried to pacify the trio.

Ghouse soon stepped out and entered into an argument with Asif. When Asif persisted, Ghouse took out a knife and stabbed him, resulting in his instant death. Afsar, Habeeb and Pasha sustained bleeding injuries. Ghouse fled the spot.
