BANGALORE, DEC. 13. A 15-year-old mentally challenged girl was raped, allegedly by her neighbour, in Bayappanahalli police station limits on Monday. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), N. Shiva Kumar, said that Muniyappa (48) allegedly raped the girl when she was alone at home around 11.30 a.m. The Bayappanahalli police arrested Muniyappa. In the past two months, at least six minor girls have been raped in the city. In all the cases, the girls were raped by their neighbours or someone known to their families.
