Wipro's desktop help for U.K. travel firm
BANGALORE: Wipro Technologies said on Tuesday that it had won a "five year, multi-million dollar contract" to provide desktop support to TUI UK, a travel agency. Wipro Technologies' remote infrastructure practice would support some "10,000 desktops, 300 servers, L1/L2 helpdesk, monitoring and messaging services in 800 locations in the U.K. for TUI U.K.," a company release said.
TUI U.K. was part of TUI AG, Europe's largest travel company with over 3,700 travel agencies, 100 aircraft and 285 hotels, which had 157,000 beds in 25 countries, the release added.
