Brigadier sacked

NEW DELHI,
DEC. 14.
The Army has sacked the commander of an infantry brigade here for alleged illegal sale of liquor and other irregularities.
The officer, who is a Brigadier, has also been sentenced to nine months' rigorous imprisonment, according to official sources. Action against two other officers a colonel and a major of the same brigade is also contemplated.
The commander of the 35 Infantry Brigade, R. P. Singh, was tried on a number of charges brought by the military intelligence under the Army Act. The lapses included the intent to defraud and illegal sale of liquor.
