CHITTOOR, DEC. 15. The district Collector, S.S. Rawat, launched the filaria prevention programme by distributing D.E.C. tablets to school students here at the Sharman High School. He said that the programme would be conducted throughout the district. The tablets were to be taken after food by people, except children below two, pregnant women and persons suffering from chronic deceases. The Municipal chairman, T. Changalraya Naidu, district medical and health officer Ramakrishna Reddy, municipal commissioner Rajendra Prasad and district malaria officer, Venkat, participated in the programme.
