PATNA, DEC. 15. A woman has been arrested on the charge of `kidnapping' a 19-year-old girl and entering into a `wedlock' with her. Sarita, a student of BA part-I in a college here, was allegedly kidnapped by Pooja Singh, a widow, on November 27 from Padri Ki Haveli locality here. The victim's father, Shambhu Singh, a bank employee, lodged an FIR with the Khajekalan police station in this connection, police said today. A police team later went to Jhansi in Madhya Pradesh where the duo claimed to have been staying as couple and brought them here. During interrogation, Pooja, who was married to Narendra Singh, a native of Siwan district in 1997, said that they had taken a vow before God to live as couple, according to the police. Pooja's father Kedar Singh is said to be an employee of an explosive factory in Asansol. PTI
