Clear sky forecast

The minimum temperature is likely to be around 13 degree Celsius on Thursday. Mainly clear sky is the forecast for the day. On Wednesday, the minimum temperature was 13.8 degree Celsius and maximum 30.2 degree Celsius.

Cases against 138 automen

The Department of Legal Metrology conducted surprise checks on autorickshaws in the twin cities and registered cases against 138 automen for using faulty meters. In a statement on Wednesday, the Controller, Legal Metrology, appealed to autorickshaw users to bring to the department's notice cases of faulty meters and other complaints. Warm send-off for Army officer

The Director-General of Artillery and Colonel Commandant of Regiment Artillery, R.S. Nagra, visited Artillery Centre here recently. Lt.Gen. Nagra, who was on a farewell visit, was accorded a warm send-off by the centre Commandent, Rohit Kalia.

Discourses on `Gurbani'

Koshish theatre group, an affiliate of the Confederation of Voluntary Organisations, in association with Dhawni, St. Ann's, is organising plays on communal harmony -- `Ram and Raheem' and `Sab-sey-Sasta' -- at St. Ann's Degree College, Mehdipatnam, on December 16 at 12.30 p.m.

Global meet on construction

An international conference on `Advances in concrete and construction (ICACC 2004)' will be organised by Vasavi College of Engineering at Fortune Katriya Hotel from December 16 to 18. on `myeloma'

Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) is organising a free public awareness and education programme on `Multiple myeloma' on December 18 between 4 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. at its learning centre. Myeloma is a common form of cancer of blood and bone. Patients, families and general public can attend.
