BANGALORE, DEC. 15. A thief brandished a screwdriver to scare a couple and took away his booty of cash and gold jewellery, all estimated at Rs. 1.5 lakh, on Wednesday in Jnanabharati Police Station limits. The police said the thief got into the house of Chandrashekar, an employee of Ambedkar Institute of Technology, when he and his wife were away. The couple who returned in the afternoon tried to catch him, but he brandished a screwdriver and fled.
