The scrutiny of forms would be on December 29 and the last date for withdrawal of nominations is Decemebr 31. The same day, symbols would be allotted to the candidates. The counting of votes would begin at the polling stations after the end of polling in most cases. The counting of votes at the block headquarters would be done on January 27 and 28. The results for the Panch, Sarpanch and Janapad Panchayat elections would be announced on January 27 and 28, while those of the district Panchayats would be announced on January 29.
