Music Academy conference from December 19

CHENNAI,
DEC. 16.
The 78th annual conference and concerts of the Music Academy here will be held from December 19 to January 4.
The `sangita kalanidhi' title will be conferred on mridangam artist Vellore G. Ramabhadranat the sadas on January 4. The Sangita Kala Acharya title will be conferred on Rukmani Rajagopalan and V.P.Dhananjayan; the TTK awards will be given to Anayampatti S. Ganesan and Balamani; and the Vaggeyakara award will be conferred on Rukmani Raman.
The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan chairman, K.S. Bhakthavatsalam, will inaugurate the conference.
The conference and concerts are dedicated to the memory of Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbu lakshmi.
